    The Wood Turning Center is sponsoring two great fundraising events featuring German artist Siegfried Schreiber this April, whose work appears in the one-man exhibit Art In Motion at the Center through May 20th. The funds we raise will help us organize future special events. Check out the descriptions below.

    Artist Siegfried Schreiber comes from Germany to present a gallery talk on the kinetic work in the exhibit Art in Motion, on exhibit at the Wood Turning Center through May 20th. Questions are encouraged! A dancer from the Philadelphia-based dance troupe Group Motion will interpret Mr. Schreiber's works. Light refreshments will be served.

    An optional dinner with the artists is available following the evening's events.

    Gallery Talk, Demonstration, Lunch, & Tour of John Grass Wood Turning Company

    Artist Siegfried Schreiber comes from Germany to present a gallery talk on the kinetic work he created for the exhibit Art in Motion, on exhibit at the Wood Turning Center through May 20th. Questions are encouraged! Following the talk, Mr. Schreiber will demonstrate of his turning techniques and methods. Boxed lunches will be served.

    After the demonstration, a tour of the John Grass Wood Turning Company by its owner, Lou Bauer, will explore this historic shop and machinery. The John Grass Wood Turning Company operated from 1863 until 2003 in Philadelphia. All of its original belt-driven turning machinery is still in place and operational. This is a one-of-a-kind facility that you will definitely want to see!
